==Apnimed (APMD) began trading on the Nasdaq on Fri 31 Jul 26

Sector: Pharmaceutical industry
Employees 65
Founded 201
Website apnimed.com
Apnimed opened at $22 after pricing IPO at $16/share

  • Apnimed (APMD) is off to a successful public-market debut, with its upsized 12.0 mln share IPO pricing at $16 -- the top of its $14--$16 range -- before opening at $22 for a 38% gain, signaling strong investor demand for the late-stage sleep-medicine developer.
  • The biopharmaceutical company is developing oral therapies for sleep-related breathing disorders, led by Oxnimbi, also known as AD109, a once-nightly combination drug designed to improve upper-airway muscle activity and prevent airway collapse in patients with obstructive sleep apnea.
  • APMD's primary end market is the large OSA population, where current treatment is dominated by devices such as CPAP, giving a convenient oral therapy the potential to expand diagnosis, treatment adoption, and patient compliance if approved.
  • The company submitted an NDA for Oxnimbi in April 2026 following positive Phase 3 trials, and the FDA accepted the application for review in July, making regulatory approval and commercialization the central near-term catalysts for the story.
  • For the three months ended March 31, 2026, APMD reported $84.8 mln of related-party revenue, up sharply from $3.1 mln a year earlier, while income from operations swung to $68.0 mln from a $27.1 mln loss.
  • That financial improvement should be viewed cautiously, however, because the revenue was tied primarily to licensing, know-how, and research-service arrangements with its SASS joint venture rather than recurring commercial product sales, meaning the IPO's longer-term success will ultimately depend on Oxnimbi's approval, launch execution, reimbursement, and physician and patient adoption.

==Swarmer (SWMR) began trading on the Nasdaq on Tue 17 March 26

Swarmer makes drone-autonomy software, enabling drones to swarm, and helping operators control dozens or hundreds of drones simultaneously—making it difficult to disable the entire swarm by taking out a single drone.
The company’s technology has been deployed in Ukraine since 2023, where it has supported more than 100,000 combat missions.

Drone-tech firm Swarmer Inc. (Nasdaq: SWMR), which boasts Blackwater founder and industry veteran Erik Prince as its non-executive chairman, saw its shares rise as much as 700% in late trade Tuesday after pricing at $5 each the night before.

The company is building a software-first, AI enabled, autonomy and coordination platform for scaled unmanned combat operations. While it may sound like the script from a Terminator movie, the technology is no fantasy and in fact has already been combat tested in Ukraine since 2023 with tens of thousands of missions in the books. Currently, 42 armed forces use Swarmer for 300+ missions daily.

2026 is set to be an inflection year for the innovator, headquartered in Texas with an expected top line of approximately $20 million. Firm commitments of $16.3 million from executed contracts offer dependable visibility into earnings potential over the next 12-24 months. With strong tailwinds in place for defense equities and SWMR approaching its first revenue inflection point, the timing looks right.

Swarmer is still a small company competing with everyone from privately held drone vendors such as Shield AI and Anduril, as well as defense contractors such as Northrop Grumman (NOC) and Lockheed Martin (LMT).

Ukraine has been at the forefront of drone warfare, serving as the testing ground for the most innovative and ground-breaking battlefield technologies. Its defense industry has rapidly expanded in response to the unprecedented scale of the conflict: in 2025 alone, Ukraine is slated to deploy close to 5,000,000 drones into active combat. This monumental scale, paired with an agility in procurement rarely seen in the defense industry, accelerates innovation and growth.

Eikon Therapeutics priced 21,177,600 share IPO (upgraded from 17.7 mln prior) at $18.00 per share, at the high end of the $16-18 expected range

Eikon's upsized $381M Nasdaq listing marks largest biotech IPO since 2024

At $381 million, Eikon looks set to be the largest biotech IPO since 2024, overtaking Aktis Oncology’s $318 million offering last month.

The California-based company has already set out its plans for spending the proceeds, with the biggest priority labeled as the clinical development of EIK1001. The toll-like receptor 7 and 8 agonist immune modulator, which Eikon acquired from Seven and Eight Biopharmaceuticals, is currently being tested in a phase 2/3 trial in combination with Keytruda for advanced melanoma and a phase 2/3 study for non-small cell lung cancer.

Behind EIK1001 is a pair of PARP1 inhibitors, dubbed EIK1003 and EIK1004, which Eikon licensed from Chinese biotech Impact Therapeutics. These candidates are being trialed in phase 1/2 studies for ovarian, breast, prostate and pancreatic cancers, with EIK1004 also being assessed against brain metastases and primary brain malignancies due to its ability to cross the blood-brain barrier.

The fourth clinical candidate is an in-house WRN helicase inhibitor called EIK1005, which is in phase 1/2 development for solid tumors.
