2011 IPOs

In addition to the US IPOs listed below, a number of American companies have launched IPOs outside the United States, either to capitalize on growing opportunities overseas or avoid the cost of complying with US financial regulations. GI Dynamics Inc., a Lexington, MA medical device company, recently filed documents to go public in Australia. And earlier this year, Samsonite International, the luggage maker, went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
